We are all called to be leaders. We’re called to use our talents for the better of the kingdom. If anyone stands in your way, regardless of their title or position in life, remember, when it come to the kingdom, we answer to the Lord. No friend, acquaintance, boss, leader, public figure, politician or even brother or sister in Christ has the authority to override the vision God has given you.
Take advice, listen to leadership, and sow peace, but always be a leader and use your talents to fulfill your calling. Don’t be discouraged. God did not build you to be a spectator. You were called to be a world changer and your talents, ability, and spirit are unique to you. You are the only one who can do what you were called to do. No matter your frustrations in life, keep working towards your calling. Some may choose not to help you, some may say things that discourage you, but all that is irrelevant. If you lead, others will follow– eventually.
None of us are called to be pure leaders, accountable to no-one, however, we are all called to be leaders of something. Take ownership of your talent and realize that setbacks come with the territory. We’re here to serve and grow the body of Christ and although not every individual may see our vision, some will– and God gave you your vision.
We’re so lucky to live in a time where we can share our vision with the masses via social media. For me, I wanted to help people find jobs. I could use help from my friends, clubs I’m a member of, other businesses, and many other groups– but I’ve worked for years on this vision without waiting for support or permission from others. You can do this too– and it may take time and be very hard, but you’re called to do whatever you can in the love of Christ.
With the way the world is, there are so many groups, clubs and causes that people can support, so realize that not everyone has the time, energy, or money to support every cause, and new ideas come with a huge risk of failure. Others may not see your vision until it’s already a success– but if you don’t give up, you will make a difference.
Support other people’s ministries and their visions where you can. Never tear down anyone else’s dream. Don’t work to hurt anyone, but do everything in love and peace. If you do these things, you will find a fulfillment that nothing else in life can offer. Some people may experience jealousy (fear of losing their own ministry), but instead of being offended, encourage them! We’re all in this together, and all of our ministries work together, even if we can’t see it– God does.
